Creating Distinctive Looks With One Jacket

Has there been a piece of clothing that you would wear excessively throughout the week. It might be your favorite scarf, knit sweater or even a pair of jeans, yet I  question, who says that you’re not allowed to wear a piece of clothing more than once.

Well, I personally have a favorite blazer that I challenge myself to wear in a different way within the week. Yes, It may sound insane to others, or even a bit interesting to a few, but it’s a trial that’s motivating and a risk I am willing to take. Surprisingly, this jacket was $60, and I thought it was a great deal. You might be wondering whether this may be difficult to do, and yes, it will be, but as long as you’re open minded and innovative things will start to fall in place.
So, let’s start off with Alexzander McQueen’s insightful saying "I think there is beauty in everything. What ‘normal’ people would perceive as ugly, I can usually see something of beauty in it."
I welcome you to fasten your seat belt and come along with me as I demonstrate four looks of what I believe to be interesting blends of a unique look.

blazer: in-style, Shoes: DSW, Pants: Gap, Jewelry: bedazzled

Look number one is very simple, in which I placed two different shoes to wear during the day and evening. Jewelry would be an essential only because your chest would look bear and empty

shirt: in-style, shoes: DSW, Skirt: in-style, bracelet: kholes

For a fancier look, I added a red pencil skirt and black pumps. In order to add a little creativity, a pencil skirt would create a clean, classic look. don't be reluctant to insert some flare into the outfit because that is when your style and personality will standout amongst others.

shirt in-style, boots: designer label, skirt: in-style, Jewelry: bedazzled

This look would be categorized as a fall look because of the suede boots. Suede can usually be worn during the winter, only because of its style and texture.

shirt: in-style, pants: in-style, shoes: DSW and necklace: overstock

This is a more playful outfit. The pants are bright and lively as well as the flats. The necklace is used as an attention for detail look, once again, I found something that corresponds to my liking and reflects my personality. I enjoy wearing bright colors because it utters excitement, and boldness. I encourage everyone to try a shirt or blazer throughout the week and create something stimulating, curious and attractive.

As you think of prints what comes to your mind? Weird patterns, clown like shirts, or even red dotted pants. These may sound extreme, but that is what individuals usually think of when they hear or see the word prints. However, in today’s runways print is seen as the following:

Bold graphic images that standout amongst anything you are wearing. Yet, who says that we have to step into big, bold-faced patterns when we can start delicately with just a handbag or a clutch. Having a clutch like the following does not have to be of the same print, but can have any sorts of decoration that you feel comfortable in.
Shirt and Pants: Delias, Cardigan: Forever 21, Flats: DSW, Clutch:  Roger Vivian clutch

shirt:Rag and Bone, Skinny brown jeans, Red heels: DSW, Jacket: Alibaba

As for younger adults, I added a printed blouse; it’s another way of adding a slight pop to an outfit. Whenever you have a print, always calm it down with a neutral color.
Another conservative and contemporary look can be a printed skirt that’s fun and flirty, but can be versatile throughout the day.  For more of a night look a pair of boots or a clutch and a leather jacket can go from a day at work to a night out with some friends. Tights can also be added to give the outfit a bit of edge.

shirt: Nordstrom, skirt: in-style, bag: in-style, bracelt: kholes, shoes: overstock

Explore and examine what else you can do with prints in a small and classic way. It does not have to be an animal print, but as long as you enjoy the colors feel free to pair it with anything that will make it stand out.
