As you think of prints what comes to your mind? Weird patterns, clown like shirts, or even red dotted pants. These may sound extreme, but that is what individuals usually think of when they hear or see the word prints. However, in today’s runways print is seen as the following:

Bold graphic images that standout amongst anything you are wearing. Yet, who says that we have to step into big, bold-faced patterns when we can start delicately with just a handbag or a clutch. Having a clutch like the following does not have to be of the same print, but can have any sorts of decoration that you feel comfortable in.
Shirt and Pants: Delias, Cardigan: Forever 21, Flats: DSW, Clutch:  Roger Vivian clutch

shirt:Rag and Bone, Skinny brown jeans, Red heels: DSW, Jacket: Alibaba

As for younger adults, I added a printed blouse; it’s another way of adding a slight pop to an outfit. Whenever you have a print, always calm it down with a neutral color.
Another conservative and contemporary look can be a printed skirt that’s fun and flirty, but can be versatile throughout the day.  For more of a night look a pair of boots or a clutch and a leather jacket can go from a day at work to a night out with some friends. Tights can also be added to give the outfit a bit of edge.

Explore and examine what else you can do with prints in a small and classic way. It does not have to be an animal print, but as long as you enjoy the colors feel free to pair it with anything that will make it stand out.

  2. I love the style of your blog, the background matches the topic of the blog. It is very colorful. I liked that you started off with a quote in the beginning. I also liked the last line of the first paragraph, being original and confident. The writing is very attractive, it is big and bold. The words are not clustered. I also love the outfits you put together, they resemble your style. The main point of this blog is clear and I understand what you are trying to say. The blog is very straight forward. I enjoyed reading what you had to say about the outfits. I also think that the outfits were well put together and matched perfectly with one another.

  3. Wow you have a lot of insight into fashion. I have to say you have open up my mind to different things to try. I've always tried to brighten up my wardrobe and create my own unique style but never really knew how to put it all together. But I think I am starting to understand the basics of fashion and how to match certain things together and at the same time which type of outfit works at certain times of the day or at certain events. You definitely inspired me to dive back into my closet and see what I can come up with.

  4. I completely agree with you when it comes to mixing up the look with the same blazer. No one says you cannot recycle outfits, but you have to do it in a fashionable way. You definitely have it head on when it comes to the fun, and chunky jewelry and some great shoes. I love to pair my blazers with some really funky inside blouses; sometimes animal print, bold prints, sheer tops, basically anything that just makes that plain Jane blazer POP! Accessorizing it key in pulling off outfits that you’ve worn before. Your ideas are definitely on point and I can appreciate a fellow peer that has no shame in recycling fashion!
